Sundays, February 28 - March 28, 2021

Have you always wanted to learn the art of calligraphy but not sure where to start?  Our 5 week-online-Introduction to Modern Pointed Pen Calligraphy is the course for you!

Over the duration of 5 weeks, we will walk you through the basics including proper pen grip, posture, paper slant and how to use a dip pen and ink to produce thin wispy hairlines and dramatic thick swells…the hallmark to beautiful pointed pen calligraphy!  You will learn the principal strokes used to create letter forms as well as a complete lowercase and uppercase alphabet, plus all the little secrets of the trade!  Each week we will put what you have learned to use with weekly projects such as notebooks, calendars and more!

This online course consists of both weekly group lessons and individual time.

Each Sunday morning, we will meet via Zoom for a 45-60 minute or so GROUP lesson, where I will walk you through the week’s lesson.  Then I will meet with you individually (at a pre-determined time throughout the week) via Zoom for 10-15 minutes to answer any questions you may have and to offer you individual advice or help.  You will be connected the week before the course starts to pick a day/time slot that works best for you for your individual time.

Group Lesson Sundays, February 28 -March 28 10am - 10:45/11 or so.

Individual lessons: 10-15 minutes weekly:  Time slots are Sundays between 2 and 4 and week nights between 6 and 8, excluding Wednesday evenings...we will contact you to arrange your individual time, based on your preferred time slot.

Kits will be shipped out two weeks before the start of the course.  If you are local, your kit can be picked up at our shop, just select “pick up” in the checkout to bypass the shipping.  They will be available for pick up two weeks before the start of the first class.
